Three Varanasi Carrom Players Selected for Airport Authority of India Scholarship
Mantsa Iqbal, Ritambhara and Shivdayal Yadav to Receive Nearly Rs 2 Lakh Over Two Years<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Varanasi, Three promising carrom players from Varanasi have once again brought laurels to the city with their selection for the Airport Authority of India (AAI) Scholarship for the year 2026-27.
International player Mantsa Iqbal, and national-level players Ritambhara and Shivdayal Yadav have been selected for the scholarship. The three players will receive approximately Rs 2 lakh each over a period of two years. They will also get an opportunity to represent the Airport Authority of India in all national-level carrom tournaments held during the scholarship period.
Mantsa Iqbal and Shivdayal Yadav have been selected for the AAI scholarship for the third time, while this is the first selection for Ritambhara. Their achievement has enhanced the pride of Varanasi in the carrom fraternity and is expected to inspire young players in the city.
On the achievement, Dr. Ashok Singh, Chief Patron of the Uttar Pradesh Carrom Association and Associate Vice President of the All India Carrom Federation; Baijnath Singh, President and Associate Vice President; Advocate Sirajuddin, Secretary; Sardar Ranveer Singh, Vice President; Dinesh Gupta, Vijay Shankar Mehta, Anees Ahmad, Dr. Anshu Singh, Treasurer Ramesh Verma, Assistant Secretary Ashok Kumar Singh, and other office-bearers and members of the association expressed happiness.
They congratulated all three players and said that their selection is a matter of pride for the Varanasi Carrom Association and Uttar Pradesh Carrom Association.
