A meeting held in Maidagin focused on traders\u2019 safety, dignity and the resolution of their grievances. The organisation warned that if concrete action is not taken on their demands, it will oppose the BJP in the Varanasi South Assembly constituency during the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.<br>Dharamendra Kumar Verma, national president of Sonar Narhari Sena, said that injustice against traders would not be tolerated. He claimed that the Swarnkar community has around 30,000 to 32,000 voters in the Varanasi South constituency, giving it a significant role in elections. He appealed to community members to unite and work together to protect their interests.<br>During the meeting, the members also decided to organise a tribute meeting on the death anniversary of late Motilal Seth, a respected figure in the community.<br>The new executive committee of the Swarnkar Samaj was also announced.
