Varanasi, July 30: The Inner Wheel Club of Varanasi Sparkling Stars held its grand Installation Ceremony on Thursday at Kasturi Hall, Hotel Surya, in a dignified and festive atmosphere. The event commenced with Ganesh Vandana and the ceremonial lighting of the lamp. District Treasurer Dr. Anuradha Bhatia (2026\u201327) administered the oath of office and confidentiality to the newly elected office-bearers.
The newly elected executive committee for the Inner Wheel year 2026\u201327 formally assumed charge. Surbhi Modi took over as President, Mandakini Agrawal as Secretary, Anuja Bagla as Treasurer, Shivani Agrawal as ISO, and Niharika Devanshi as Editor. The office-bearers were felicitated with official collars and badges.
Addressing the gathering, President Surbhi Modi reaffirmed the club’s commitment to the core values of service, friendship, and international understanding. She said the club would continue to undertake impactful initiatives in the fields of education, healthcare, women empowerment, and environmental conservation.
On the occasion, the club also launched three major community service projects. Steel water bottles were distributed to students of Shri Hanuman Prasad Blind School, Durgakund. A ceiling fan was installed in the dressing room of the Leprosy Ashram at Sankat Mochan, along with the distribution of essential daily-use items to the residents. Additionally, scholarships were awarded to two meritorious Class 10 girl students from a government school to support their higher education.
The club also highlighted its recent social initiatives, including the distribution of food and drinking water to devotees during the Rath Yatra fair, ice cream distribution for children, felicitation of doctors and chartered accountants on Doctors’ Day and CA Day, and arranging dialysis treatment for three economically weaker patients at Hindu Hospital.
President Surbhi Modi also announced the club’s upcoming projects. During the holy month of Shravan, free medical check-up and medicine distribution camps will be organized every Monday for Kanwar pilgrims. Other planned initiatives include food distribution in the Rath Yatra area, a health camp at an old-age home, and a tree plantation drive involving 100 to 200 saplings in an industrial area.
Among those present were IPP Isha Agrawal, former Treasurer Vartika Agrawal, Anuja Agrawal, Gunja, Shefali, Neha, Charter President Mansi, and several club members.
