Mission Shakti Phase 6.0: Women and Girls Made Aware of Their Rights and Safety
Awareness Programme Organised in Collaboration with Vishal Bharat Sansthan
Varanasi: Under Mission Shakti Phase 6.0, Sub-Inspector Akanksha Mishra, Mission Shakti In-Charge of Lalpur-Pandeypur Police Station, along with her team, organised an awareness programme in collaboration with Vishal Bharat Sansthan. The programme aimed to educate women and girls about their safety, dignity, rights and self-reliance.
During the programme, the team provided information on preventing domestic violence, eve-teasing, cybercrime and online harassment. Women and girls were also encouraged to contact the police whenever necessary and seek assistance in case of any threat or harassment.
The team shared important helpline numbers, including 112, 1090, 1076 and 1098, to help women and children access timely assistance. Awareness pamphlets were also distributed among the participants.
Mission Shakti In-Charge Sub-Inspector Akanksha Mishra, Women Constables Reema, Monika Tiwari and Anita, along with Ashutosh Singh, were present at the programme.
