IAgSc-BHU Celebrates Prestigious Clarivate Award with Tea Gathering and Visionary Reflections

Varanasi, Sept 22: The Institute of Agricultural Sciences, BHU, hosted a celebratory tea gathering at Satabdi Krishi Preksha Griha to mark its recognition with the India Research Excellence Citation Award 2025 by Clarivate. The event brought together esteemed faculty members, staff, and Ph.D. scholars to honor this milestone and reflect on the institute’s journey toward research excellence.

In his address, Prof. U.P. Singh, Director of IAgSc, outlined his expectations from fellow colleagues, urging them to strive for greater achievements while upholding the institute’s core values of ethics and integrity. He emphasized that the award is not just a recognition but a call to action for continued excellence in agricultural research.

Prof. P. Dwivedi, Chairman of the IQAC Cell, highlighted the strategic framework and relentless efforts undertaken by the institute to reach this landmark. He credited the collaborative spirit and institutional commitment that fueled the success.

Senior faculty member Prof. S.K. Singh reaffirmed the institute’s dedication to pushing boundaries and performing even better in the near future, echoing the collective aspiration for sustained impact in the field.

A special moment of pride was the felicitation of two scientists from the institute who have been ranked among the top 2% globally, underscoring the caliber of research emerging from IAgSc.

The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Pushyamitra Dwivedi, DR (Admin), who expressed heartfelt gratitude to all contributors and attendees.

The entire program was seamlessly conducted by Prof. Amitava Rakshit, Students’ Advisor, whose eloquent oration and thoughtful moderation added depth and resonance to the proceedings.
