Bharat Vikas Parishad Spreads Environmental Awareness Through Yajna, Havan and Plantation

Kaushal Memorial Lecture Series Explores Kashi’s Rich Indian Knowledge Tradition; Journal Released

Varanasi: The Neelkanth Branch of Bharat Vikas Parishad, Kashi Pradesh, Uttar Madhya Kshetra-II, organised a yajna, havan and tree plantation drive to promote environmental conservation. On the same occasion, the Kaushal Memorial Lecture Series was organised by the Anil Kumar Mishra ‘Jhunna’ Foundation at Magadh Bhawan, located at Nevda, at the residence of Anoop Mishra, to mark the second death anniversary of Late Prof. Kaushal Kishore Mishra.
The lecture series focused on the theme “Indian Knowledge Tradition and Kashi”, with eminent speakers highlighting the historical, cultural and intellectual significance of Kashi.
The keynote speaker, Prof. Pravesh Bhardwaj, Head of the Department of History at Banaras Hindu University (BHU), said that remembrance becomes meaningful when it serves as the foundation for ideas, dialogue and constructive action. Prof. Rakesh Kumar Tiwari of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) elaborated on the importance of the Indian knowledge tradition and Kashi’s contribution to it.
Speakers also paid tribute to the personality, academic contributions and social service of Late Prof. Kaushal Kishore Mishra. The latest issue of the Kashi Journal of Social Sciences was released during the programme.
Among those who shared their views were Dr A.N. Upadhyay, Atri Bhardwaj, Ashok Pandey, Anand Prabha, Arvind Mishra, Hardatt Shukla, Priyanshu Tiwari, Ravindra Singh, Nripendra Singh, Dr Siddharth Singh, Dr Aahuti Singh and Prof. Nripendra Kishore Mishra.
The programme was conducted by Prof. Anoop Mishra. Dr Bharti Mishra, wife of Late Prof. Mishra, welcomed the guests, while Sunil Kumar Mishra delivered the vote of thanks.
Ravi Prakash Barnwal, president of the Neelkanth Branch of Bharat Vikas Parishad, participated in the plantation drive and the programme, reaffirming the organisation’s commitment to environmental conservation and social awareness.
