17 Eminent Personalities Honoured with Kashi Navratna Award; Ravishankar Sharma Receives Special Recognition
Guru Kripa Foundation felicitates achievers from diverse fields; Folk singer Ranjana Rai enthrals audience with Kajri performance
Varanasi: Seventeen distinguished personalities from different fields were honoured with the prestigious Kashi Navratna Alankaran at a grand ceremony organised by Guru Kripa Foundation at Bal Vishwavidyalaya, Prahlad Ghat, on Sunday. Among the awardees, Ravishankar Sharma received special recognition for his outstanding contribution.
The event was graced by Ambrish Singh Bhola, Honorary Member of the Varanasi Development Authority, as the Chief Guest. Distinguished guests included Dr. Ashok Rai, Managing Director of Laxmi Medical; Dr. A.K. Kaushik, Managing Director of Popular Hospital; Mahant Sant Balvinder Singh of Sangat Chetan Math; and Manjul Pandey, Director of Bal Vishwavidyalaya. The dignitaries presented the awardees with certificates of appreciation, ceremonial shawls, and bouquets.
Event coordinator Milan Srivastava said that the recipients included Ranjana Rai, Shikha Srivastava, Ravindra Nath Mishra, Kailash Prakash Maurya, Ravishankar Sharma, Usha Rani, Amit Saraf, Narsingh Das Chandiwala, Reena Singh, Sunaina Kesari, Nikita Chaurasia, Vijeta Sachdeva, Dr. Shivani Srivastava, Praveen Kumar, Dr. Dhwani Jaiswal, Pandit Abhishek Dwivedi, and Megha Plas.
The programme commenced with a Mangalacharan by Chakravarti Vijay Navad. Renowned folk singer Ranjana Rai captivated the audience with a soulful Kajri performance. Guests were welcomed by Manjul Pandey and noted astrologer and Vastu expert Pandit Prakash Mishra, while the programme was anchored by Chakravarti Vijay Navad.
The ceremony was attended by several eminent personalities, including Dr. Kailash Singh Vikas, National President of the Indian Association of Journalists, along with prominent members of the city’s social and cultural fraternity.
