DLW Mazdoor Sangh Passes 16-Point Resolution, New Executive Body Formed

Varanasi: The biennial convention of DLW Mazdoor Sangh, a major workers’ organisation of Banaras Locomotive Works (BLW), concluded on Sunday with the adoption of a 16-point resolution and formation of a new executive body. The organisation also announced its name change from DLW Mazdoor Sangh to BLW Mazdoor Sangh.
The key demands included manufacturing of Vande Bharat coaches at BLW, filling vacant posts, promotions and cadre restructuring, 70% incentive allowance for employees, MACP benefits up to Level-7 for technical staff, raising the PLB bonus ceiling from ₹7,000 to ₹21,000, restoration of transferred/surrendered posts, and increasing medical staff at BLW Hospital. A 50-room holiday home and dress allowance for pharmacists were also demanded.
The convention was attended by BMS Vice-President and Railway In-charge Ashok Kumar Shukla, Cantt MLA Saurabh Srivastava, former Rohania MLA Surendra Narayan Singh, BMS Uttar Pradesh President Vishweshwar Rai and Bharatiya Railway Mazdoor Sangh Organisation Secretary Radha Ballabh Tripathi. General Secretary Krishna Mohan Tiwari presented the organisation’s report.
