Srinagar, October 2:On the occasion of the birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri, senior BJP leader Er. Aijaz Hussain today paid rich tributes at the BJP Office in Kashmir. The solemn event was marked by floral offerings and a pledge to uphold the timeless ideals of truth, non-violence, simplicity, and service to the nation.
Speaking on the occasion, Er. Aijaz Hussain highlighted the enduring relevance of Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy of non-violence and his struggle for justice, equality, and freedom. He emphasized that Gandhiji’s principles continue to guide not only India but the entire world in the pursuit of peace and harmony.
He further recalled the visionary leadership of Lal Bahadur Shastri, whose call of “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan” inspired generations of Indians to strengthen the nation through hard work, sacrifice, and dedication. Er. Hussain noted that Shastri ji’s life of humility and integrity remains a shining example for every citizen, especially the younger generation.
While interacting with party workers, Er. Hussain underlined the importance of imbibing the values taught by these great leaders in public and personal life. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the BJP is committed to carrying forward the legacy of Gandhiji’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and Shastriji’s vision of strengthening both the farmer and the soldier, thereby ensuring a strong and self-reliant India.
Er. Aijaz Hussain reiterated that such occasions serve as a reminder for all to rededicate themselves to the service of the people and to the vision of a progressive, united, and peaceful Jammu & Kashmir in tune with the ideals of these national icons.
The event concluded with the recitation of patriotic slogans and a renewed pledge by BJP workers to work tirelessly for the nation and society.
