Dr. Shalini Singh Takes Over as President of Inner Wheel Club Varanasi ‘Mitram’; Several Community Service Projects Launched
Food Supplies Donated to Roti Bank, Stationery Distributed to Students, Jute Bags Promote Plastic-Free India
Varanasi: The installation ceremony of the Inner Wheel Club Varanasi ‘Mitram’ was held in a vibrant and dignified atmosphere at Lee Lotus Hotel, Kakarmatta. District Treasurer Dr. Anuradha Bhatia and the club’s Founder PAT/PDC Dr. Anjali Agrawal inaugurated the ceremony by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
During the event, the newly elected office-bearers for the 2026–27 session took the oath of office and confidentiality. Dr. Shalini Singh assumed charge as President. The new executive team includes Satarupa as Vice President, Vandana Srivastava as Secretary, Dr. Mamta Tiwari as Treasurer, Geeta Agrawal as ISO, and Dr. Saroj Rai as Editor.
Addressing the gathering, newly installed President Dr. Shalini Singh expressed her commitment to expanding the club’s activities in the fields of community service, social welfare, and women’s empowerment.
Several service initiatives were also carried out during the ceremony. Food supplies were donated to the Roti Bank, stationery kits were distributed to students, and jute bags were handed out to promote the Plastic-Free India campaign. Saplings were also distributed to encourage environmental conservation.
The cultural segment began with a Ganesh Vandana presented by Shreyasi Mishra. The programme was conducted by Dr. Anjali Agrawal, while the vote of thanks was delivered by Satarupa. Club members including Nisha, Shweta, Shaista, Asha Agrawal, Manju Keshari, Uma Keshari, and several others were present on the occasion.
