Stand-Up India Beneficiaries Light ‘Blessing Lamps’, Share Inspiring Stories of Self-Reliance
Varanasi: On the occasion of Seva Diwas, the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme was organised on Thursday at the Swatantrata Bhavan Auditorium in the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) campus under the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’. Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary was the chief guest. More than 500 successful entrepreneurs who have benefited from the Stand-Up India scheme participated in the programme.
The event began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. Bank of Baroda Executive Director Lalit Tyagi, in his welcome address, said that organising such an inspiring programme in a centre of knowledge like BHU was a matter of pride. He said the bank is supporting entrepreneurs through the Stand-Up India scheme not only by providing loans but also by encouraging them to turn their dreams into reality.
During the programme, beneficiaries of the Stand-Up India scheme shared their success stories from the stage. They explained how the loans received under the scheme helped them expand their businesses and move towards self-reliance. Their stories reflected the journey from struggle to success, along with gratitude towards the government and the banking system.
Chief guest Pankaj Chaudhary said that the message of service from Kashi would reach every part of the country. He said Stand-Up India has given people not merely access to credit, but also the confidence to establish their own businesses and become entrepreneurs. He described the ‘Aashirwad Ke Deep’ lit by the beneficiaries as a symbol of the light of a developed India.
BJP State General Secretary Dilip Patel, Kashi Region President Ashok Chaurasia and BJP Varanasi Mahanagar President Pradeep Agrahari, among other dignitaries, were present at the programme. At the conclusion, the guests and beneficiaries jointly lit lamps and reaffirmed their commitment to the Seva Sankalp.
