Grand Ganesh Utsav Concludes at St. John’s Colony with Bhajan Sandhya and Community Feast
Varanasi: A 10-day Ganesh Utsav was celebrated with devotion and enthusiasm at St. John’s Colony. Throughout the festival, residents organized regular worship, aarti and bhajan sandhya dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The celebrations concluded with a bhajan sandhya followed by a community feast, which was attended by a large number of colony residents and devotees.
The chief guest, MLA Saurabh Srivastava, said that Ganesh Utsav is celebrated with great enthusiasm in Varanasi, with Lord Ganesha being installed in many households. He congratulated the residents of St. John’s Colony for organizing the festival with devotion and enthusiasm and extended his best wishes to all the participants.
At the beginning of the concluding ceremony, the chief guest was welcomed by Ritesh Kumar, Pradeep Mishra and colony residents. Distinguished guest and former Lions Governor Deepak Agrawal appreciated the celebrations and offered prayers to Lord Ganesha. He said that Ganesh Utsav is celebrated on a large scale in Maharashtra and is gradually gaining wider popularity in Varanasi as well.
Dharmendra Goyal, Shashank Agrawal, Dr. Pradeep Pandey, Dr. Shobhnath Singh, Sujit Kesari, Vibhu Ratna, Dr. B.P. Tiwari, Pradeep Kumar, Rajendra Jaiswal, Dharmendra Pandey, Sumit Pandey, Ravi Gupta and Mohan Rauniyar made significant contributions to the successful organization of the festival.
The celebrations concluded with a bhajan sandhya and community feast, where devotees participated and received prasad.
