GRP Tracks Down Three Missing Girls Within 30 Minutes, Reunites Them with Family
Varanasi: Demonstrating swift action and alertness, the Government Railway Police (GRP) Cantt Varanasi successfully traced three missing girls within just 30 minutes and safely handed them over to their family members.
According to police, on September 25, Nabbu Adivasi, a resident of Bamitha police station area in Chhatarpur district of Madhya Pradesh, informed the GRP that his 17-year-old daughter Swati, 15-year-old daughter Sonam and his approximately 16-year-old niece Panak had left home after getting upset. Later, information received through the niece’s mobile phone indicated that the three girls were at Varanasi railway station.
Acting promptly on the information, GRP Cantt Inspector-in-Charge Rajol Nagar formed a team and launched an immediate search operation. The police searched various platforms, waiting areas, entry and exit points and other possible locations across the railway station premises. CCTV cameras installed at the station were also examined to trace the girls.
During the search, the three girls were spotted in the circulating area of the station. The police team took them into safe custody and brought them to the police station. After necessary questioning and verification, their identity was confirmed with their father and family members. The three girls were subsequently handed over safely to their father, Nabbu Adivasi.
The swift response by the GRP resulted in all three girls being traced safely within 30 minutes and reunited with their family. The family members expressed their gratitude and appreciated the prompt action taken by the police team.
The recovery team comprised Inspector-in-Charge Rajol Nagar, Inspector Devchandra Yadav, Sub-Inspector Ramratan Patadey, Head Constable Anil Pratap Singh, Constable Moolchandra, Head Constable Danish, Constable Irfanjeet and Head Constable Anurodh Kumar.
