Valedictory Session of the International Conference on Current Trends in Natural Product Research Concludes at BHU
Varanasi The valedictory session of the International Conference on Current Trends in Natural Product Research was held today, December 11, at Banaras Hindu University, organized by the Department of Botany & Bioinformatics, Mahila Mahavidyalaya, at the Malaviya Moolya Anusheelan Kendra. The conference was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Banaras Hindu University, Prof. Ajit Kumar Chaturvedi on December, 9. The session began with floral tributes to Bharat Ratna Mahamana Pt. Madan Mohan Malaviya followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp.
The programme proceeded with the soulful rendition of the BHU Kulgeet by the team of Dr. Shweta Kumari from the Department of Vocal Music, MMV. Prof. Rita Singh, Principal, Mahila Mahavidyalaya, delivered the welcome address, appreciating the participants and highlighting the rich academic engagement throughout the conference.
Dr. Rajeev Mishra, Convener of the conference, addressed the gathering and acknowledged the collective scholarly contributions that shaped the success of this international event.
The Chief Guest, Prof. D. K. Upreti, Emeritus Scientist and former Director of CSIR–NBRI, Lucknow, delivered the valedictory address, emphasizing the expanding horizons and interdisciplinary significance of natural product research. He underlined the transformative potential of collaborative scientific investigations in this domain.
Dr. Shachi Singh, Organizing Secretary, presented the detailed conference report, summarizing the technical sessions, keynote lectures, research presentations, and academic interactions conducted over the course of the conference.
Awards for the best oral and poster presentations were announced and presented, recognizing outstanding research contributions by participating scholars and researchers.
The session concluded with the formal Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. Rakesh Pandey, organizing secreatory, who expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, speakers, scholars, organizing committee members, volunteers, and participants for their wholehearted support in making the conference a remarkable success.
The conference started on December, 9 and last two days various speakers from India and various countries shared their latest findings. Dr Acharan S Narula from Narula Research LLC, USA, Prof. Vibhav Tiwari from Midwestern University, Dr Ashutosh Tripathi University of Michigen, USA, Prof. Nguyen Thi Kim Oanh from Asian Institute of Technology Thailand, Dr. Yerlan Suleiman & Dr Gulnur K. Mamytbekova from K. Kulazhanov, Kazakh University Kazakhastan, Dr Abu Sayed from HMD, University of Bangladesh, and Prof. Janardan Lamichhane and Dr Rajendra Gyawali from Kathmandu University, Nepal, Dr. Asher Bar-Tal from Agricultural Researrch Organization, Israel and Dr. Sephen Nyoni from Chinhoyi University of Technology, Zimbabwe presented their latest work. Eminent Scientist from India Dr Shudesh Kumar Yadav, Dr. Rakesh Maurya, Dr. Koneni V. Sashidhara, Prof. Subhash Chandra Gupta, Dr Kapil Dev, Prof. Yamini Bhushan Tripathi, Prof. Surya Pratap Singh, Prof. Amitav Rakhit and Dr. Deo Parakash Chaturvedi also presented their grounding breaking research.
