Shravani Teej Fair Showcases Women Empowerment and Folk Culture in Varanasi
Varanasi: The 2026 Shravani Teej Fair, organized by Mahila Mandal Kashi at Shubham Banquet Hall, Mahmoorganj, concluded with traditional fervour and vibrant participation. Marking the organisation’s 51st year of social and cultural service, the event featured over 70 stalls showcasing handicrafts, ethnic wear, home décor, food products and folk art by women entrepreneurs from Varanasi and cities including Kolkata, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Jaipur. Organisers said the fair promoted women entrepreneurship and eco-friendly practices, with a complete ban on single-use plastic. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from citizens and prominent women from the city.
