Rumours Regarding Khatu Shyam Temple Baseless, Management Committee Clarifies
Varanasi: The management committee of the Khatu Shyam Temple located in Luxa, Varanasi, has issued a clarification regarding certain allegedly misleading and objectionable claims being circulated on social media about the temple.
According to the temple management, a large number of devotees visit the temple every day for darshan and worship, and all arrangements are being carried out as per the prescribed rules. The committee stated that several claims being circulated on social media do not correspond with the actual situation.
The management appealed to devotees not to believe or circulate any unverified information or rumours. The committee also stated that a complaint had surfaced regarding a woman residing opposite the temple allegedly making repeated calls to the police and levelling allegations against temple employees. The committee further alleged that objectionable remarks and rumours about the temple were being circulated with the support of some shopkeepers. However, these allegations have not been independently verified.
The management committee has requested the administration to conduct an impartial inquiry into the matter and establish the facts, so that devotees visiting the temple do not face any inconvenience. The committee maintained that religious activities at the temple are continuing peacefully.
A woman devotee present at the temple said that she and several others have been visiting the temple for darshan and worship for many years and have never faced any such problem.
Madan Mohan Poddar (President), Deepak Todi (Mandal President), Shyam Sundar (Management Committee), Pankaj Todi and Rinku Agarwal appealed to devotees to maintain patience and share any information only after verifying its authenticity.
