Varanasi: Sanjeet Kumar ‘Hardewalal’ has acquired ownership of the Patna franchise in the prestigious Kashi Premier League (KPL), becoming the new owner of Sunrisers Patna. The KPL management committee welcomed Sanjeet Kumar ‘Hardewalal’ and his team and extended its best wishes for the upcoming league.
Players in the Kashi Premier League will be selected through a grand auction process on the lines of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Several former and current IPL as well as international-level cricketers are associated with the league. Former Sri Lankan star cricketer Thisara Perera is also among the prominent names associated with the KPL.
A major highlight of the league will be the presence of an international player as coach with each team. These international cricketers will train young talents at a high level and help them understand the finer aspects of the game.
The KPL is also making arrangements for live broadcasting of all matches on DD Sports, the FanCode app and leading OTT platforms, providing wider exposure to the league and its players.
Several prominent business personalities, ministers and distinguished figures from across the country are also associated with the KPL. Leading national brands are joining the league as sponsors and partners.
