Experts Deliberate on Contemporary Income Tax Issues at Kashi Tax Conclave–2026

Varanasi: The third technical session of Kashi Tax Conclave–2026, organized as part of the Golden Jubilee Year (1976–2026) of the National Tax Conference, witnessed an extensive panel discussion on “Burning Issues in Income Tax.”
During the session, Rajesh Mehta discussed presumptive taxation and Section 56(2), while Advocate Arvind Shukla highlighted provisions related to salary income. Advocate Nitin Kanwar spoke on income from business and profession and business-related expenses. Advocate Anand Kumar Pandey explained unexplained income and provisions under Sections 68 and 69. A. K. Srivastava elaborated on key aspects related to the disclosure and compliance of foreign assets and income.
Chartered accountants, advocates and tax professionals actively participated in the session. The experts provided practical insights and guidance to tax professionals in view of the evolving direct tax laws. The session concluded with a meaningful exchange of views, knowledge and professional experience.
