
Shri Ram Nagar Colony to Be Developed as Model Colony: Mayor
Varanasi: An general body meeting of the Shri Ram Nagar Development Committee was held at Prabhu Pasand, Lane No. 1, with Mayor Ashok Kumar Tiwari as the chief guest and Councillor Navneet Pandey ‘Atul’ as the guest of honour. The meeting was presided over by O.N. Upadhyay.
Mayor Ashok Kumar Tiwari said Shri Ram Nagar Colony, falling under Ranipur Ward, will be developed as a model colony. Sewer and water lines will be renovated, electrical wires will be made underground, and all lanes and roads will be renewed. Approval has also been given for two new tubewells to address the water shortage.
Councillor Navneet Pandey ‘Atul’ said all major and minor problems of Ranipur Ward and Shri Ram Nagar Colony would be resolved within a year. The colony’s main gate will be developed into a grand entrance within two-three months, while the garbage collection vehicle will now reach the colony at 8 am instead of 12 noon.
Committee Vice-President Anand Mohan Singh and Secretary Ashok Kumar honoured the Mayor and Councillor with angavastram. Chief Advisor P.N. Pandey and Treasurer P.N. Chaubey presented mementos. President O.N. Upadhyay expressed gratitude.
A.K. Sharma, Govind Srivastava, V.N. Tripathi, Neelu Srivastava, Ravindra Rai, P.C. Barnwal, Anoop Mishra and Shashwat Upadhyay were among those present.
